FAQs
About Azur & Handmade Process
How was the Azur brand born and what makes it different?
Azur was born in Buenos Aires, inspired by the essence of summer and the aesthetic of the French coast. The brand emerged with the idea of creating unique pieces, designed to accompany special occasions and moments that deserve to feel different.
Inspired by travel, warm days, and those memorable summer moments, Azur seeks to empower women by making them feel unique, just like each of its garments.
The brand combines design, comfort, and a refined aesthetic, crafted to feel as good as it looks.
What differentiates Azur is its focus on craftsmanship and fit: each garment is hand-knitted, one by one, with attention to detail and made to order. This process allows for the creation of unique pieces that adapt to the body and move naturally with it.
Azur does not follow seasons. We create timeless pieces, designed to last, to be worn repeatedly, and to accompany you to every destination. We don't design basic garments, but rather pieces with a unique design twist that makes them versatile without losing their essence, achieving that balance between special and timeless.
What does it mean for clothes to be handmade?
It means that each garment is hand-knitted, stitch by stitch, with no industrial processes or mass production.
Behind each piece there is time, dedication, and a handcrafted technique that ensures no two garments are exactly alike. These slight variations are not flaws, but part of their identity and what makes them unique.
This process not only defines Azur's aesthetic but also the quality and value of each design.
What materials do you use?
We work primarily with high-quality cotton yarn, chosen for its softness, durability, and comfort on the skin.
We select materials that complement the artisanal process, allowing us to achieve a lightweight, breathable, and body-adaptable fabric. Every choice is made to ensure the garment retains its shape, texture, and quality over time.
What care do Azur garments require?
Our garments, being hand-knitted from cotton, require delicate care to preserve their original shape and texture.
We recommend hand washing with cold or lukewarm water (max. 30°C) using a mild detergent. Avoid twisting the garment; instead, gently press to remove excess water without deforming the fabric.
Dry horizontally, on a flat surface and in the shade, to maintain its shape. Do not hang, as the weight of the water can stretch the fabric.
Do not tumble dry or apply direct heat. If necessary, steam at a low temperature can be used, always placing a cotton cloth between the garment and the heat source.
Where are Azur garments designed and produced?
All our garments are designed in Buenos Aires, where Azur's creative universe is born.
Production is done by hand, with Argentine knitters and expert hands that accompany each stage of the process. This allows us to maintain close control over the quality, fit, and every detail of each piece.
Is stock unlimited?
We do not work with unlimited stock. As each garment is produced to order, availability may vary depending on demand and production capacity.
In some cases, certain models or colors may become temporarily unavailable or may not be produced again.
Made to Measure & Made to Order
What does it mean for a garment to be made to measure?
It means that the garment is made taking your measurements into account, seeking a fit that adapts to the body naturally and flatteringly, without altering the original design.
This system allows us to achieve more precise-fitting pieces, maintaining the essence and proportions of each model, and is offered at no additional charge so that you feel even more comfortable when choosing our garments.
How do I take my measurements?
You can refer to our size chart or, if you prefer, send us your measurements when making your purchase.
To take them, use a tape measure and measure:
- Bust: around the fullest part of your chest.
- Waist: at the narrowest part of your torso.
- Hip: around the fullest part of your hips.
The tape should rest on your body without being too tight, to achieve the most accurate result possible.
If you're unsure, you can refer to our size guide or choose one of our standard sizes.
What materials do you use?
It means that each garment is made once the purchase is complete, instead of having pre-existing stock.
We work under this model to ensure a more careful process, avoiding overproduction and dedicating the necessary time to each piece. In turn, it allows us to offer the possibility of custom-made garments.
For this reason, all our pieces are final sale, with no exchanges or returns, as they are made especially for you.
How long does it take to produce a made-to-order garment?
Production times vary depending on the type of garment:
- Bikinis and tops: between 1 and 7 business days.
- Dresses: between 5 and 15 business days, depending on the model.
- Skirts: between 5 and 15 business days, depending on the model.
Once production is complete, garments are dispatched according to the selected shipping method.
